We need you

Fullstack Developers are responsible for assisting with all aspects of web and mobile development on Open edX open-source applications. You will be expected to engineer frontend and backend solutions, fix bugs, manage your daily tasks, document features and assist with DevOps where necessary. You will also be required to contribute your work back to the Open edX community, communicate with stakeholders and keep up to date with changes to the Open edX platform. You will report to the Team Lead.

You will need commercial experience in:

  • Commercial experience in web applications development
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Python and JS development
  • Intermediate knowledge of SQL databasing (SQLite/MySQL)
  • Functional understanding of systems architecture
  • Intermediate skill in HTML/CSS/JS frontend development
  • Experience with template engines like Handlebars/Mako
  • Knowledge of the Open edX or another learning platforms (Canvas/Moodle)
  • Knowledge of UI/UX standards and principles
  • Knowledge of deployment/provisioning technologies
  • Working knowledge of Linux environments (Ubuntu/Debian)
  • Experience with continuous development/integration
